You will, of course, remember that one of the 'compelling reasons' HRA offered for the introduction of a Shuttle / Import Semen Stallion Tax -- as outlined in their press release dated May 10, 2021 -- was that:
"International Stallions claimed almost 70-cents in every dollar spent on service fees in Australia in the 2020/21 season".

You will, of course, remember that one of the 'compelling reasons' HRA offered for the introduction of a Shuttle / Import Semen Stallion Tax -- as outlined in their press release dated May 10, 2021 -- was that:

International Stallions claimed almost 70-cents in every dollar spent on service fees in Australia in the 2020/21 season.

And this financial drain just had to be stopped - even if their figures were highly contested, not to say dubious.

But here's the rub. Having studied HRA's published Terms and Conditions for Eureka! Slot Holders, we find that a horse nominated for next year's Eureka! can be owned by foreign interests, and the Slot Holder can be a resident of another country.

So, effectively, there is a possibility that the entire $1,000,000 winner's prize cheque could flow directly off-shore.  Lock, stock, and barrel.

That is the One Million Dollars that HRA will have fleeced directly from local breeders just because they had the temerity to breed their mare to the best overseas bloodlines available.

You simply couldn't make this stuff up ...!

It is INSANITY WRIT LARGE.

The daylight robbery HRA is planning to commit must be stopped now!

HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD ...

PLEASE SIGN OUR PETITION AGAINST THIS CRAZY STALLION TAX, NOW!

NB:  The only stipulation under the Eureka! rules is that nominated horses must have been 'bred in Australia'.

So much for ensuring our 'valuable dollars' stay in Australia!
